The Brimbank SES (State Emergency Service) provides a valuble service 24hrs a day, 7 days a week, 356 days a year, To the residents of Victoria And in particular those that reside within the municipality of Brimbank.

          Volunteers of the Brimbank SES train every Monady evening from 7:30 pm > 10pm and some weekend training is also required. All members are required to attend 70% of all training. This ensures all members remain competent in  all facets of General Rescue and also that of our core & secondary roles, Theses include

            STORM :  Volunteers ensure that when property's (residential & Business) are damaged that tempoary and effective repairs are made to limit further damage through exposure to the elements. The SES also respond to fallen trees creating a hazard. 

            FLOOD : When Flood occurs SES Volunteers protect property by either sandbaging and or Pumping effected areas. SES volunteers are also involved with the relocation of people and or stock to unaffected areas.

            EARTHQUAKE:  Very rare in Victoria but possible. The SES has the responability to co-ordinate and control other Emergency services and contractors. 

           ROAD CRASH RESCUE : The Brimbank unit does not respond to the extrication of people from road Crashes this is done by the MFB (only in the Metro area). Vic SES is one of the largest individual provider of Road Crash Rescue in the world with 101 units accredited .The SES responds to over 1300 calls per anuam in this field.

        SEARCH & RESCUE : This a role in which we Support the Victoria Police in the search for missing persons Either land or inland waterways.

           We also support other agencies in relief roles e.g Salvation Army, Red Cross and CFA
